The Croixaliers is an award-winning vocal ensemble that performs at school concerts, off-campus area worship services, and state and national choral festivals and competitions. The 24-member choir tours the St. Croix Lutheran Association, leading worship in with sacred choral music at these congregations. Each November, the Croixaliers take part in the WELS Choral Festival and sing with hundreds of other talented singers from other WELS high schools. In 2012, the Croixaliers were blessed to be selected as one of Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) Spotlight groups.
The Croixaliers are students at St. Croix Lutheran High School in West St. Paul, Minnesota. The mission statement of the high school is reflected in the purpose of this group. The mission statement of St. Croix Lutheran is "Educating the total student - spiritually, intellectually, physically and socially in a caring Christian community." The Croixaliers 1) grow in their spiritual lives by publicly witnessing their beliefs to a variety of people, 2) develop social skills to hold meaningful and purposeful conversations with people of all ages and backgrounds, 3) become more advanced musicians through challenging repertoire. 4) learn how to positively represent a school, as ambassadors of St. Croix Lutheran.
